Andrew is a Program Officer in the Grant Program at the United States Institute of Peace. He oversees USIP's grantmaking in Nigeria and Sudan as well as working on the USIP's Annual Grant Program. His interests include conflict monitoring and response, local peacebuilding, and evaluation of peacebuilding programs.

Prior to joining USIP in 2008, Andrew worked at the Center for International Development and Conflict Management at the University of Maryland and at the Carter Center. He has worked on peacebuilding efforts in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Estonia, Guyana, Nigeria and Sudan.

Andrew has a BA from the University of Virginia and a Ph.D. from University of Southern California.
