Mark has been working to provide information products to the humanitarian community since September 2004. Mark worked with the Humanitarian Information Center for Darfur (HIC), first as the Data Coordinator and then as the Manager in 2006. In late August 2005 he went for a brief mission tasked with launching operations for the HIC Niger. His most recent deployment as Manager of the HIC ended in October 2006 with the closure of the HIC Lebanon. Since then Mark has been working as Project Manager for the ReliefWeb team in Geneva.

ReliefWeb is the world’s leading on-line gateway to information (documents and maps) on humanitarian emergencies and disasters. An independent vehicle of information, designed specifically to assist the international humanitarian community in effective delivery of emergency assistance, it provides timely, reliable and relevant information as events unfold. ReliefWeb was launched in October 1996 and is administered by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
