Hello All,
Luke Beckman invited me onto the group some time ago - a few of you know me, but for those who don't... My name is Janet Ginsburg and I edit
http://www.TrackerNews.net, an aggregator that focuses on health (human, animal, eco), humanitarian work and technology that supports both. It is a little unusual in that stories are not organized by category, but grouped for contextual relevance (breaking news, research papers, blog posts, websites, book reviews, e-books - print, audio, video). Eventually, everything ends up in a searchable database. There is actually quite a bit more going on both on the site and behind the scenes, including the development of a custom aggregation tool. Here is a little slide show that will give you better of the scope of content:

I am posting today about a special Haiti Resources page we've created:
http://www.TrackerNews.net/haiti. Crisis Mappers is listed in the "Disaster Tech / Mapping" category. If you have a moment, you might find the backgrounder post interesting:
“TrackerNews: Haiti” – A Special Resources Page
This is very much a work in progress, but even in a rough state, may prove helpful.
Best,
Janet (editor @ trackernews.net)
